It seems to me that Verne is only seen for his predictions the scarily accurate ones, not the crazy ones that get swept under the rugwhen his quality as a novelist is less than good. The only thing that I really enjoyed was the moral of the story basically the last page where Verne stresses that those in power who are scared of science aren’t really doing anyone any favors.
