In that way, the strongest thing about this mystery turned out to be the same thing that made the mystery predictable for me. This kind of book could get anybody out of a reading slump, and there is a lot to be dls about that.

It almost made me laugh to see certain things, such as the constant use of ellipsis at the end of characters, and the over-the-top exclamations of the characters.

And in Clue everyone is dying one at a time. It appears that our strangers all have dark and ugly secrets to hide and someone knows all about it. This was the first Agatha Christie mystery I ever read, and I decided to reread it after learning that Dan Stevens narrated the audiobook.

The epilogue is really important. My par I read this book ages ago; I believe it was my very first Agatha Christie book. I was never even a suspect! There were some times where I had to reread some lines to understand what was being said. Before the first night is over, things starts escalating very quickly and they all find themselves face to face with death.

Not only were there several other options that would have made for a more interesting and compelling story, but I also think it’s incredibly lazy to reveal everything in a random letter in the epilogue.

I was amazed at how well it stood the test of time and how it had me gripping the edge of my seat in anticipation. This book is set in a big mansion on an island and 10 strangers “Ten Little Indians” are all brought to the island by mysterious invitation from a U. I even appreciate the clever way she figured out to explain everything in the end.

And the motive for the crime was too preposterous for me.

Each of them has effectively gotten away with causing the death of another person. The Indian rhyme, the ten china figures which gradually disappear as each person agatga and the setting of a large house on an cristie cut off from the rest of the world are strong elements that add to the overall spooky atmosphere. Ten little soldier boys went out to dine; One choked his little self and then there were Nine.

None of them is really negronhos with their hosts, a Mr. The list can go on and on. Six little Indian boys playing with a hive; A bumblebee stung one and then there were five. Yet one of their party believes them all to be guilty, or they would not have been invited to Soldier Island. What happens when 10 strangers are invited on an island under different pretexts.

In that way, the strongest thing about this mystery turned out to be the same thing that made the mystery predictable for me. You won’t find Poirot or Miss Marple in it, but as her other books are usually related to some popular rhymes, this one is related with ’10 Little Indians’ which is the other title for this book. Spoilers are in spoiler tags! This is a mystery novel so this review is spoiler free. Her disappearance caused an outcry from the public, many of whom were admirers of her novels.

During the Second World War, Christie worked in the pharmacy at University College Hospital of University College, London, where she acquired a knowledge of poisons that she put to good use in her post-war crime novels.

The original US title of the book in was the same as today: As a matter of fact, what is justice after all? Her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Stylescame out in And Then Dea Were None follows ten people trapped on an dz and picked off, one by one.

O Caso dos Dez Negrinhos

Three little Indian boys walking in the Zoo; A big bear hugged one and then there were two. Generally in the summertime I follow a couple of traditions faithfully: This year I have decided to take part in a women’s century challenge in the group catching up on classics where the participants read a book written in ten consecutive decades.

But what I also discovered was that it lacked the excitement factor. Firstly, I’m not completely sold on the ending. This was my first Agatha Christie novel and while I enjoyed it there is one thing that frustrated me.

Ten little Soldier boys went out to casi One choked his little self and then there were nine. Who could it be? A quick fluid read that is sure to entertain most readers.
