"Birchwood U.K Sundance" 31.5" AMHA Registered, DNA tested, 5yr old stallion. This great grandson of "Lazy N's Boogerman" (has the most wins to date in the US) and grandson of "Grosshills I'm a Booger Too" has a breeding line going back to "Rowdy". This stallion is a great asset to our stud. Renowned throughout Ireland - both North and South - for his superb conformation and his kind gentle nature - this stallion really has it all!!! In 2004, Sundance qualified for the HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW in U.K but due to circumstances beyond our control was unable to attend. However, last year, after qualifying along with 14 of some of the best horses from all over Ireland, he attended the Dublin Horse Show (Ireland's biggest equestrian event of the year) to make history by being the first miniature horse to win Supreme Champion in the first ever SERIOUS miniature horse showing class held at the Dublin Horse Show! Previous shows had only been held to find the smallest horse. In 2006, Sundance won Supreme Champion at the Cavan Equestrian Centre. This is the second year in a row Sundance won this title, plus this time, two of his sons qualified for the championship and one son won champion yearling colt. Many thanks goes to Kim and Jill Richards for allowing us to have this wonderful little champion in our lives and who is producing top class foals for the show ring. NEWSFLASH: Sundance won All Ireland Champion Section A Stallion 4yrs and over at the All Ireland IMHR Championships 2007. Sundance took a break last year and was not shown at all, but will be back in the ring this year strutting his stuff!! Sundance will stand to a few select mares in 2009.

He also has "Dell Teras Midas Touch" as his maternal grandsire as well as US Champion "Oak Forest Southern Knight". Taiga will be a real asset to Slaneyrose Stud and has been discribed by one of Ireland`s top miniature horse judges as a horse to be reckoned with in the show ring! Out of three shows in 2006, Taiga came first in two out of three, going on to win Champion 2yr old. Taiga's first batch of foals have most definitely not disappointed us, Roisin Dubh won yearling filly at Cork show 2008, Silver Twilight came 3rd in a large yearling class at Tinihealy show and also at Tanzanite show in Kildare and Sterling Surprise took 2nd place at Tinehealy, plus his other fantastic results in Kildare can be viewed on the for sale page under his picture. Another Slaneyrose stallion proves to be a producer of quality offspring and we are very proud of both stallions, and what we have achieved so far. Standing at stud to suitable mares standing for

A great start to the foals at Slaneyrose this year with another small equisite foal from this mare and stallion pairing, having perfect conformation and balance from the start, this colt is most definitely a keeper and will join our show string!  An outstanding silver minimal pinto colt by Afternoon Delights Be A Silver Mist and Sheban Princess. This colt has it all! He is ready for the show ring, stands at 32", and will finish around 33-34". Watch out for him in the show ring! Here are a few of his show results so far: In his first show, Sterling won champion yearling, champion american bred and reserve supreme champion of show! Sterling came 3rd in the All Ireland Championship 2008 and qualified for MHOYS!! At his first 2009 show, Sterling took Champion at the show in Ballivor, Co. Meath! At his most recent show, the judge said he has fabulous movement and she expects him to continue to do well. |
