Slaneyrose Stud - Our Miniature Horse Foals ...

Our foals are the result of careful planning and mating what we consider some of the best bloodlines in miniature horses today. The Slaneyrose foals are the proof that our breeding program is working. Many of them are shown successfully, with some of the latest wins including:
- All Ireland IMHR Reserve Champion 2yr old Sec A (Slaneyrose Moondance)
- 3rd place in Yearling class at All Ireland IMHR Championship (Slaneyrose Bronski's Golden Teardrop)
- Champion at Limerick Show (Slaneyrose Blaze of Glory)
- 2nd place out of 10 at Limerick Show for a daughter of our Raven of Slaneyrose

Also watch out for Taiga's first batch of foals in the yearling classes this year as we have three added to our show string!

This stunning foal is from two of our AMHA American imports and all we can say is WOW! Long straight legs, perfect bite, and only 21.5" at birth with tiny 7.5" cannon bones, so this little beauty won't go over 32" at maturity. His dam, Blue Saphire, did extremely well in the show ring before becoming a broodmare (also check out her siblings on the mare page!), as is his sire, our own Taiga, at the present. This boy is a real eye catcher for the show ring and will be sold to a show home only.

Chocolate Crunchie is a striking bay dun pinto colt. His dam is only 31.5" and sire (Taiga) is the same so this boy should finish small. He will be for sale at weaning because we cant keep them all as much as we'd like to!

Silver Rain is a filly, sired by Taiga and out of Raven. She is tiny and silver with an exquisite arab type head, even for a foal. She seems to have the refinement of her sire and tinyness of her dam so expecting great things from her in the future.

A great start to the foals at Slaneyrose this year with another small equisite foal from this mare and stallion pairing, having perfect conformation and balance from the start, this foal is most definitely a keeper and will join our show string next year!!

Saphire foaled a filly by Taiga. The little girl is only 19", so she will stay small and she is very refined. She will be for sale at weaning. **No longer offered for sale**. She will be on our show team next year.

Raven foaled a silver dapple filly by Taiga. She is 19" small and has 7.5" cannon bones.

Amy foaled a filly sired by Taiga. She was 20" at the withers at birth with 7" cannon bones. "Roisin" is not for sale at this time, she will be on our show team next year.

Phoenix foaled a colt by Sundance. He was 23" at birth and will be for sale at weaning. He is 100% American bred.

Introducing "Slaneyrose Bronski`s Golden Teardrop": A colt with saphire blue eyes and a teardrop shaped blaze. Bronski is a silver palomino, which means that in addition to the cream gene, he also carries the silver gene.Sire: Sundance Dam: Sheban Princess ... so he is 100% American bred!

This is Blaze of Glory as a yearling. He stands at 24.5" at the withers as a yearling and recently won the title Champion yearling colt at the Miniature Horse Championship held in August. Will stay really tiny and really has it all, including temperament. Sire: Sundance Dam: Sheban Princess.

Slaneyrose Moondance's mum is Little Raven, a dark bay 30" 5 year old mare. Look at this 'LOOK AT ME" attitude! Just what you need in the show ring. He has plenty of it! This colt should finish between 31" - 32" and is sired by Sundance, so is 50% American bred miniature horse.

NEWSFLASH: The judge at the first show of the year in Cavan wished it to be known that Moondance was the rightful winner of reserve champion out of 40 horses, although unusually no rosette was made available by the show organisers! Congratulations to Moondance and his owner Stephanie Fitzpatrick!

This GORGEOUS filly's sire is our all Ireland Champion, Birchwood U.K. Sundance.

Here is 'Banners Shadow Moon Cruiser' out of 'Shadowplay Sahara Moon' (owned by Banner Miniatures) and sired by our Sundance. Cruise will start his show career this year with his new owner,Claire Al-Redha in Somerset, U.K.
